Feeding guide

Feeding recommendation:
Applaws Kitten is a complete food for growing kittens as well as pregnant or nursing adult cats.

Kitten:
0 - 4 months: 20 - 55 g daily
4 - 6 months: 55 - 70 g daily
6 - 8 months: 70 - 75 g daily
8 - 14 months: 75 - 85 g daily

Get your kitten used to solid food from the 4th - 6th week. Soak in lukewarm water at first. Gradually reduce the amount of water. Please do not use milk. If your kitten is already accustomed to dry food, gradually adapt it within 4 days.
Your kitten's daily needs may vary based on their size, weight, and activity level!

Pregnant or lactating cat:
1.25 - 3 kg: 20 - 40 g daily
3 - 5 kg: 40 - 60 g daily
5 - 8 kg: 60 - 100 g daily

After four weeks of pregnancy gradually increase the feeding amount as indicated in the table. You should double the amount of food by the end of the 7th week. After the birth, slowly increase the amount of food so that the cat has as much food as necessary. You can switch back to Applaws dry cat food for adult cats approximately 5 weeks after birth.
Your cat's daily needs may vary depending on their size, weight and activity level!

no good!!!
my cats are eating well, and losing weight!!! I had to strongly supplement their protein intake becasue they were starting to lose muscle mass, so maybe the proteins are not that digestible...

Kitten goes mad for it
My British shorthair kitten LOVES this food. She runs to her food bowl when she hears the bag coming out and gobbles it down all in one go. I’m happy that she enjoys this food as I know it’s good for her in between her 2 wet meals.

Both kittens love this
Great food. Both kittens enjoy this. It’s all they get besides some Thrive treats and lots of water. Normal healthy poos and very healthy strong kittens.

Well liked and well tolerated
Our kitten has had a few tummy issues and is sensitive to certain veg (pea protein) for sure. He does like biscuits a lot but we only give them occasionally, his diet is 90% wet. In that context we started him slowly with the Applaws dry food (eg a few kibbles one day, a few more the next) and he hasn’t had any upset on it. As with any food it is important to do it gradually - kittens are trying so many things for the first time! He loves the flavour and it’s made his fur super shiny!!

Great quality!
My kittens love this dry food and have bitten into the bag twice now whilst I wasn't looking... Cheeky things, at least I know they love it too! The price is great on zooplus As well compared to pets at home.

Our Bengals love it
We switched to his very high meat content dry food from Royal Canin, this food suits all our Bengals. It did take a good while to move them onto such a high quality food but now they have been established on it for longer than 4 weeks, they eat less and look better. Their coat is shiny. We do rehydrate the kibble and also add wet food into their diet.

Lovely 80% meat- kitten drinks a lot more on this food.
After researching about grain free kitten food we decided to give this a go, our kitten likes it and comes running for his food. Although we have noticed that he seems to be drinking a lot more on this food rather than the food that the vet suggested which he also loves too. Will be trying a few more different grain free foods once this 2kg bag is oven and check the ingredients to see if it has a high salt amount. Our kitten isn't a fan of wet meat, apart from the Tuna wet tins.

3 Happy Kittens
Really pleased with this product, my kittens love it, no upset tummies for my 3. Glad I tried them on it even though the cost is higher than some kitten food well worth the extra.

Happy kitties
Switched our kittens to this high quality kibble after a lot of research and not looked back! They both love it and he's super fussy so it's great to see him enjoying his food.

Excellent
I have a ragdoll cross (from 9 months old and just turned 7) that has been stress over grooming and losing condition. He's been on Hills Science Plan since I got him, I gradually changed in the last three months to Orijen mixed with Applaws and now just Applaws. Within a week of just Applaws, his fur is growing back and soft and silky again and he seems much happier and brighter again.

Happy kitties
My two kittens adore this food, as soon as they hear it being poured into their bowl they come running and devour the lot! Their coats are very shiny and this hasn't caused any tummy upsets which some of the cheaper dry food has in the past. I will definitely be ordering lots more of this!

Very Happy Kittens
Both my girls love it! Clean bowls very time. They're full of energy as you'd expect being kittens with lovely shiny coats. Also cleared up the diarrhoea they were getting when I got them from the cat and dog home!

Gave my kitten a beautiful shiny coat and helped his stomach problems.
My kitten was having really bad diarrhoea when he first came to us. We tried Applaws wet initially but it didn't work. The biscuits have helped so much with this and he now has a beautiful shiny coat. He absolutely loves them. In fact we have to keep them very well hidden because he has managed to tear open two bags already.

Kitten eats this like treats!
Our adopted kitten is battling eye infections and on antibiotics - he had no appetite and would turn his nose up at most food. Highly recommend this food, the high meat content is great and he loves it.

Great choice
I was feeding my kitten Whiskers dry and decided to change to a healthier option with better quality ingredients. I am pleased that I did make this change as my kitten seems to have a lot more energy and really enjoys eating this new food. His black coat is also really shiny. Would recommend this for your kitten too.

Are old cats allowed to eat it too?
Mine are pretty lively... So I'm wondering whether my 1 and a half and 3 year olds can also eat this? I've tried so many other dry foods and they don't really like wet food.. GLG
