Product description

Intelligence toy for fun & mental challenge for your cat - with 4 exciting exercises. Use with treats or dry food, it's a great way to encourage your pet to eat more slowly. Colour not selectable.

The Trixie Cat Activity Brain Mover is a good way to combine intelligence games with plenty of fun. Give your cat a chance to show how clever it is. Hide some treats or dry food in the activity centre and watch how your cat works out how to get at the food. Your cat will love the challenge and enjoy the well-earned reward. This is one toy your cat will not get bored with!

The Trixie Cat Activity Brain Mover activity centre has 4 different tasks to challenge your cat:

1. Task with covers: Your pet has to remove the cover to get at the snack.

2. Task with drawers: Your cat has to push at the drawers to find the reward.

3. Task with lever: Your cat has to push the lever to open the drawer with the reward.

4. Task with loop: Your pet has to open the drawer using the loop to get its reward.

Once your cat has understood the various tasks you can change to feeding the dry food only in the Trixie Cat Activity Brain Mover. The amount your cat eats daily will automatically be reduced because it eats more slowly and feels full up more quickly. The Brain Mover is not just a great way to keep your pet occupied, it is also a way to change your cat's eating habits which is great if your cat has a tendency towards obesity or suffers with a sensitive stomach.

When your cat is able to solve the individual tasks you can start to make things more complicated by combining different tasks. And when your pet has mastered this level, make it even more interesting by leaving one or two drawers or hollows empty!

Working
My kitty gets close to frustration trying to get to her treats. Definitely a good product. Keeps her entertained xx

Great puzzle
I bought this to keep my cat entertained when I'm not there, and also to slow down her eating, however she was definitely puzzled by it in the first place so needs a bit more support from me. Fortunately it comes with detailed suggestions on how to encourage your cat to explore the different components. I've sometimes used it with treats, sometimes with her dried food; she clearly likes it and sits by it rather than by her food bowl. So a happy purchase with plenty of potential.

Cat not interested at all
My cat figured it out very fast and wasnt interested at all. Was using it as a feeding tray for him, but there was no point to keep it, so gave to another cat owner and she said cats completely ignored the toy.

This really challenges my cat
One of my cats is very intelligent. She already has 3 other Trixie treat feeders but has mastered these and is getting bored with them. This one challenges her more than any other, especially when used with the Cosma treats, which she adores!

Brilliant!
We have two cats - a moggy and a long haired fluff ball! The fluff ball caught on really quickly and loves it. As soon as we have finished our evening meal she races into the lounge for us to load the toy. Our moggy took rather longer to get the hang of it and still can only manage the slidey middle section but still enjoys it. A great purchase

Wasn't sure they'd get it but they do!
I wasn't sure my two cats would get the idea of this toy but they do! Wanted something to entertain and stimulate them now the winter nights are here, and this really does the trick. Keeps them occupied for quite some time and makes a few treats go further too. Very happy with this purchase.

Brilliant!
I have a 15year old cat with a very sharp mind and this is brilliant for her, she loves games where she has to get treats out, she did find others too easy for her but this is one that she really had to think about and I had to help her at first. Exactly what I wanted for her!

Brilliant!
Great toy and quite small in size, which suits our house, took ages for cats to suss this out and one or two still have not got it after 4 months! Well, well worth the purchase. Works well with Cosma treats or quality cat biscuits, Orijen, Acana or Purizon.

great night activity toy
I bought this for my 3 cats, one is too lazy to be bothered but the other 2 like it. they figured it out very quickly, bit too easy for them but they still enjoy it at night. Would recommend for cats that are not very smart.

Great Toy!
I bought this too keep my ginger tabby and black cats occupied during the day, my tabby took to it like a duck out of water, he absolutely loves it. After a short while my black moggy uses it as well. You do need to spend some time with your cats using this when it first comes, some cats are slow learners- like my black moggy, but a little time and effort and he loves it just as much as my tabby. I use it as a feeder more than anything.

Great toy
My cats love this and it has really stretched them to work out how to get the treats. Some parts are fairly easy, the sliding parts are now (after 2 months) usually investigated first, but the drawer section are still a challenge! Great value!

Cleaning Tip
Just an addition to my previous review. I have used this toy now for a couple of months as main feeder for my large cat(actually, she has several feeding toys I rotate). She is now an expert using this toy but sufficiently slow that the little cat manages eating from her ordinary bowl without being disturbed. Cleaning-wise I have an addition: Since there are very many screws I removed all but the bottom centre one. For easy cleaning I disassemble the toy completely but now it is only one screw. As long as you have a fairly gentle cat this should work. The dried saliva is very easily removed with a dice-cut magic sponge (the white sponge type) from the small food pods.

Very good food bowl substitute
My large cat is very fond of food and a fast eater. She accepted the tray from the day of its arrival as her new foodbowl. I never had to 'train' or 'show' her, she figured out more or less immediately what to do. The tray requires a bit more care in terms of cleaning but it is of a robust built and dishwasher safe. It is quite cute watching my cat swiftly moving, shifting, dragging the different parts of the tray but I would like to have something more difficult for her. If you have a cat who doesn't consider screw caps as a challenge then you will possibly have a similar experience.

Elvis Approved
This product gets a five paw rating from or man, in his words...meow, meow.. or to translate....it's got ball thingies to hide food under, slider thingies to move and that hide food, a lever and rope to make more food holders appear! And best of all it holds food! It keeps him busy and his mind active (he has to sit down after using apparently it's hard work using the brain)robust and easy to clean

A hit
Our cat is very fussy with her toys (she doesn't like many) but she really likes this one. Initially she didn't really know what to do but after a few days she figured it out. Now she goes to it when she wants to play and we fill it with treats. Would definitely recommend for those hard to please cats.

Fantastic and continues to entice
I rarely leave reviews but must say my cats love this product. My tabby particularly loves this one and caught on surprisingly fast although even after 4 months he still struggles with the middle section of the sliding trays. I highly recommend it! I usually set this and another toy before I leave for work, they are so excited they barely notice me go!

Fun to 'show off' to visitors
Got one of these for my 4 month old kitten. She's gradually getting idea. We've done one 'trick' at a time. She still needs a bit of prompting sometimes - but that's not a bad thing as it makes the toy last longer! Visitors are impressed at my clever little girl :) She loves the packet of treats too, though I prefer to use the Cosma freeze dried treats which are easier or her to hook out with her claws.

A favourite toy!
My kittens love this! They got it age approx 5 months. The instructions are clear but really I didn't need to follow them to teach the kittens how to use it, it was quickly mastered! That doesn't mean they are bored of it though, it's one of their favourites. The game doesn't last long as they race each other to get the most treats! I was astonished at how quickly they worked it out. They love this!

Excellent Toy!
I have bought some of the intelligence toys but the problem is she figures them out so quickly! This was great as it has various levels of difficulty so it took her a while to figure it out. She absolutely loves it & goes and sits by it so I know when to put the food in! This is great for clever cats who get bored easily & likes to be challenged. Problem is i need something a bit harder now!
