It’s empty in here!
We decided to give this a try because of the great price. So far so good, our dogs seem to enjoy it a lot (and they can be picky sometimes)! We mix it with a quality kibble. The reason why I'm not giving this 5 stars is the white rice. Ingredient list only says "rice" so I assume it's white. I'd much prefer brown rice. Also sometimes you get trays that are almost impossible to open and the plastic cover will just rip, quite annoying! Still, a good dog food for the price!
I have been using Zooplus now for a few years and they are just great. Many companies are good until something goes wrong then they let you down and show their true colours, not Zoolplus. Because of how much I order something's are bound to go wrong occasionally but this company have always been so helpful and have sorted out any problems very satisfactorily.
The Turkey and Chicken is a lighter option and whilst it is entitled “Senior-Lite” it is in our opinion a good option for dogs of any age and can still be mixed with a little dry dog food as well.
My bull terrier does really well on a raw diet, however for convenience when we are camping or have someone else looking after her, I introduce these and she does really well on them. Naturediet is the only brand that doesn't upset her tummy, even if introduced quite quickly, and her coat looks great on it, and no gunky eyes like she gets with kibble. Only downside is recently the packs seem to have got a lot harder to open!
This is a great food at a great price. My 3 dogs really like it and it's gentle on the tummy I get the chicken one. Wholesome ingredients no maize cereals etc just chicken rice and veg with bonemeal which is good for calcium. Will buy more. Wish zooplus did a bigger than 36 pack in chicken.
My labrador retriever (12) has a very sensitive stomach, and it has taken me a long time to find a food combination which sates his appetite and he can keep inside him. I give him half a tray of Nature diet in the morning with some Iams senior, and the same again at night. Finally, he's comfortable and his colicky symptoms have gone. Huge relief for us all.
this is a good complete food, we use this at the rescue kennels where I work. Not impressed with the new packaging or the reduction of the meat content as its now 5% less than it was. Nature diet seem to change their recipies- we're still using up "old stock" atm - lets see what happens to the dogs "outputs" once we try the new stock!
My Toby lives this food. His favourite is the rabbit and Turkey. I use Wagg all in one feed and mix a Tiny bit of natures diet and he loves it. I have noticed since going on natures diet Tobys coat has improved
My dog has just had major, life saving surgery and needed something to boost her appetite and a food which would be easy on her stomach. This food has fitted the bill perfectly and I am going to keep her on it from now on.
I have an Alaskan Husky who has had problems with his tummy & went off his normal (Natures Instinct) raw food diet when he got ill. I have tried numerous replacement foods from Lukullus & Rocco to Gran Carno & Natures Menu. He always had to be coaxed to eat the first 2 & wouldn't even entertain Gran Carno, although he didn't mind Natures Menu, he wasn't overly fussed. But this stuff he loves and wolfs down, all except the fish, & I have to say myself that's the most revolting thing I've ever smelt, no wonder he won't eat it lol, we put that out for the birds.
I often check dog food as I have found particularly with the cheaper dog food there are a lot of bulking ingredients which have little or no nutritional value to the dog, e.g. cereal, maize etc. I attended a lecture on dog food and since then I have been very vigilant when reading the ingredients in dog food. This is great dog food. I have a 60kg Alaskan Malamute and he eats a fair amount of food. These are not only good value but the ingredients are good quality, natural and my dog certainly loves it! The reason I have given it 4 stars and not 5 stars, is that it is a large pack size at 390g, during winter my dog will eat two a day, however, for summer months the food is cut down. It would be good if they offered a mid size packet.
I have 2 young mini jack russells, typically fussy, been through most dry & wet foods and ended up mostly wasted. Tried most of these, indeed the lamb version is still sitting there after 2 days untouched. The Chicken & Lamb variety of this product is the one food I can guarantee that over 2 or 3 days will be eaten. What I do is upon opening cut into quarters, cling film 3 of them and put in the fridge, and cut the one quarter up for eating, if they finish one then out comes another quarter, keeps it fresher during 2 or 3 days and little is left to waste, win-win all round for me & my dogs.
Since putting my dog on the food he has done fantastically, his coats looks healthier, his general apperance has improved. I have no seen any downside to feeding this food at all and would recommend it to everybody.
My English Setter is a very picky eater and I almost felt guilty at trying to make him eat dog food - but now - Naturediet! What a difference, he sits by me whilst I get it out of the packet, eyes bright and eager, the plate is licked clean and all the bits licked up! Plus the real bonus, no more tummy problems, I have tried all the other good quality food, some of which has been better than others but nothing has been as good as this or worked as quickly. My problems are over! I recommend it to you wholeheartedly.
My Staffie bitch is not a picky eater, but she's no 'labrador-type hoover' either; she knows what she likes. Fortunately, she likes the chicken and turkey/rabbit flavours, and scoffs the lot.
My dog had pancreatitis three months ago and I was looking for a tasty (she is very fussy) low fat food that she could tolerate. I am really pleased with this particular food, her pancreatitis is under control and we have had no episodes or upset stomachs since changing her over. She also loves it, which is a major plus!
I add this food to royal Canin boxer to make the taste variable, I have 2 boxers 1 who is a very fussy eater, he loves this food it is a good mixer as it is a pâté and with a little water mixed in, it sticks to the dry food changing the flavour so it is less boring every day, it is excellent value for money as the packs are larger than most 390g and is one of the few with a 60 per cent meat content, look at your dog product you will be surprised some have as little as 3 percent meat,
a little too rich just now,so i give him mixer to get the best of both
Naturediet & Burns wet pouches were the only foods I could give my old Bichon Frise. He suffered terribly with Colitus and a lot of the time I had to cook human lamb mince and potato or rice with peas which is real headache everyday. He lived to 17years old mostly on burns or naturediet.
I have tried numerous wet and dry foods for my fox terrier pup and he loves this stuff. I mix it with a handful of Origen dry puppy food and it works a treat. It lasts well in the fridge and each pack does 4 meals when mixed with the dry food so works out to be very cost effective.
I have two lurchers and they can be picky, but I got Naturediet for them to try and to see if it would help their tummys. Well it worked and I can saftly say I will be getting it again.
My 4 year old golden retriever has been suffering with regular stomach upsets (diarrohea) since he was about 18 months old. I have changed his diet from Nutro, to Burns but he still became ill for no apparent reason. However, since I have put him on Naturediet (2 cartons a day) he has not had a stomach upset - and this has been 9 months. And my dog loves it - he has the lamb and rice - long may it continue. So if you and your dog are going through similar health issues, its worth a try.
We'd been feeding our deerhound a mixture Premium branded canned and 'complete' dry food as it's what our Labrador used to have. However we found that Santa (our deerhound) was scratching and rubbing her face a lot and making it bleed. After much searching on Google etc. we realised that is could be the food she was eating and the various preservatives etc that are in these regular brands. So we thought we'd try natural preservative free food and found this Naturediet brand which is the only one we could easily get locally and the change has been a revelation. She no longer scratches at all and her face is back to its old self. You can see Santa here: www.dogster.com/dogs/498636 This stuff (occasionally with some tuna or grated cheese on) is all she has now.
This is the only food my dog Benjy can tolerate so it is good that he loves it! In my opinion Naturediet is the best wet food you can get. Zooplus please will you supply this in packs of 18?
