No more colitis since feeding this

Hi, I have two 15 year old moggies and was feeding them Royal Canin and Molly was passing stools which were mainly firm but with a loose finish and occasional blood. I found out from the vet that this is usually caused by colitis and I should try a different food. I wanted a food which contains glucosamine and chondroitin as Molly has stiff joints. I also read how a "no grain" food is better, more natural, for cats. So, I gradually switched to Orijen and Molly's colitis has cleared up. Both cats also have a lovely shiny coat. Now I have two Maine Coon kittens and I have been trying to introduce them to this food but I've had to make the switch very gradually as they got bad diarrhea so I am increasing the amounts by 1 teaspoon per meal every two days. They are now on about a third Orijen and two thirds minced chicken and I will persevere and eventually free-feed them.

Best food on the market.

I have been feeding my two fussy cats on Orijen for the last year and can't recomend it highly enough. They are now fit and healthy little people with clear eyes and beautiful glossy coats. Their motions are firm and virtually smell-free and they have had none of the problems that they'd experienced prior to the diet change. This is an incredible product full of natural ingredients and you really get what you pay for. It is, in my opinion, the best food on the market.

Excellent!!!

I have a cat with sensitive tummy and tried many different dry foods, all to no avail. Origen is absolutely great stuff, my cat have no loosness since I've started using it.

The very best catfood!

I have 2 Burmese cats who have been on a raw food diet for a few years which was great but somewhat exhausting! Orejen is HIGH in protein full of nutrients all so important for cats, they love it and look wonderful on it. Nicola, Nutritionist, Oxford.

Ultimate Cat Food Brand!!!

After doing research on just about all the pet food companies and products I believe that Orijen is the best brand out there. My cat loves the taste and the ingredients are premium quality and have no grains what so ever. Not to mention all the ingredients are human grade quality so you know your giving the best to your pet. No issues as of yet with finding this brand and its a good price so ill be sticking with this brand for the long run!

Happy Healthy Holistic Kitties

I recently tried this food and it is excellent!!! my cats adore it and the kibble is small enough even for the oldies (some who lack the necessary dental equipment) to wrap whatever remains of their "laughing gear" around! I am very impressed by the herbal content as I have used herbs for many years on some very ill and/or abused cats and I've had some amazing success stories where conventional drug treatment had failed. This food is for me and mine and I will be ordering more and recommending it to my equally fussy feline fanatic friends.

High Quality Grain Free Food

I have tried Hill's Science Plan, Royal Canin Sensitive and by far Orijen is the healthiest option. Unlike the rest, it contains no cheap meat-by-products or grain. It costs more, but then meat does cost more than grain and leftovers. My 6 month old burmese kittens are thriving on it and eat as much as they want when they want. I do agree with the recent reviewer who mentions it is not suitable for cats with sensitive tummys. One of my kittens has a sensitive stomach (hence why I used to use Royal Canin Sensitive food) and when fed Orijen his stool can occasionally be soft and this is a big problem as the stools can stick to his bottom and then get smeared across the carpet and all over the house :) But this only happens occasionally. When it comes to the quality of the ingredients, you can't get better...unless you live in USA then you can get Innova Evo.

Stayed in the bowl

My cats did not like this food which is a shame since it seems to be of a good nutritional value.

Feline Diabetes in remission

My 7.5 year old Hymalayan was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. I proceeded to give him insulin shots daily and refused to accept feeding him the horrible Vet prescription diet which main ingredient is By Products. I did my research and tried Orijen. Two weeks later he went in for a glucose test and is now in remission. The Vet asked me what I had done differently and I explained I had switched him to Orijen Dry cat food. He was impressed and admitted it was a very good food. So why are Vets prescribing the Hills diet? Commission. Don't buy it for a second. Get your cat on Orijen now before health issues arise and you will have less Vet bills down the road and a healthy happy cat!!! Those who's cats are finiky, don't give up, try again a day or two later, mixing with old food is a good transition. I am spending a bit more on Orijen but saving on needles and insulin shots and stressing my cat out. LOVE Orijen.

Best ever!

I wish I'd discovered Orijen years ago. All my cats love it and are thriving on it. I was a bit concerned about cost, but as they need to eat less of it, it compares well with other quality foods, plus their coats are better than ever. I've tried every kind of food and this is simply the best, by a long way. If, like me, you have dogs, I recommend you feed them Orijen too!

Still the best!

My cats have been fed Orijen since they were 10 weeks old and a year later they are in the best possible health. The don't gorge themselves on it, but instead go back to their bowl and have a few bites whenever they are hungry. It is the perfect cat food and I recommend it constantly!

Be Aware!

I bought this as one of my cats was having skin allergy issues and I wanted a food that was free of rubbish. I have four cats and they all enjoyed it but after about a month one of my girls started to get cystisis regularly and I couldn't understand why. I realised it had started after I changed their food, she had never had a problem of this kind before. I switched to Burns and James Wellbeloved and had no problems since. Most feline experts would not advise such a high protein diet for an adult cat as it strains the kidneys. So just be aware that this might not be the food for your moggie.

A few niggles

I like to make sure my cats have a good quality food. One of mine is getting a bit fat and the way Hills and Royal Canin appear to have hypnotised him and he goes mental over in it, which isn't that healthy. I hear the stuff in them, the carbs is addictive. I am using up some of that mixed in with the Orijen but ultimately it will just be Orijen, just about 3 months to go, lol. Anyway, they don't seem into Orijen as much, but it does nearly all get eaten, they look good on it, and it doesn't give one of them the squits (sensitive tummy). What I do not like about Orijen is the packaging. It means it isn't kept fresh after opening. So I would recommend you purchase a food bag from zooplus, it goes in there perfectly.

Brilliant - cat's healthier than ever!!!

I just wanted to say how brilliant Orijen is for cats! I have my 3 on it and it's the best food I've ever tried. My male used to get stress UTI's all the time, and I tried everything. Once I put him on Orijen, they stopped. I wasn't sure if it was just the food or if he outgrew them, so I did a test - I put him on a different food for a month. Sure enough, they came back. But once put on Orijen, they dissappeared. My girl with a sensitive tum has also had no more tummy upsets on this. And... no foul poo smell! I highly recommend this food to anyone with sensitive cats or cats that have UTI issues.
